Arrow Motorola SLVR L7 GROUP BUY - Here it is!

Hello everyone,

This thread is for the Motorola SLVR L7 group buy. Please read the following instructions carefully.

What are we buying?
- Unlocked GSM Motorola SLVR L7 Cell Phones

What is the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) for each person?
- 10 units

At least how many do we need to purchase altogether?
- 500 units

What is the price?
- $205 per unit
- FOB Alexandria, Virginia, USA

What payment methods are available?
- Bank Wire Transfer or Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express)
- Credit card payments require an additional 3% processing fee

What delivery methods are available?
- Each buyer can choose their own method (as long as delivery confirmation is available)
- My FedEx shipping account can be used also.
- Local pickup is available too (will need to sign release form)
- Shipping and insurance fees are buyer's responsibility.

How long will it take to receive the phones?
- Please refer below to how the process works to figure out how long it will take

How much do these sell for on eBay?
- More than $250...usually much more

How can I trust you?
- To all participants of the group buy, I will provide my personal information as well as my business information. Any reasonable requests for additional information disclosure will be honored.

Alright, I'm in! How does this work?
- First, you need to download the ICPO from: http://home.comcast.net/~ylee0520/slvr/icpo.doc
Follow the instructions and send it to the e-mail address specified. The e-mail address will be given in the form.

- Once I receive your ICPO, I will send you a Proforma Invoice. Check the payment amount due on the Proforma Invoice and prepare your payment. Don't submit the payment yet! I will let you know when it is due.

- I will wait until I have enough ICPOs to secure payment for 500 units. At that point, I will post here that the required amount has been secured. No more ICPOs will be accepted. Anyone who wishes to still join may be able to do so if they have their payments readily available (contact me first). I will notify my supplier that an order is coming and start collecting payments. My personal/business information will be given out at this point also.

- Once I have collected all the payments, I will submit the order to my supplier.

- The current quoted delivery time from my supplier to my location is within 10 business days. I will reconfirm the delivery time when I make the actual order.

- Immediately following delivery of goods, I will take a day off from work and ship the items to the individual members of this group buy.

I hope I covered most of the things that need to be covered. Please ask questions on any concerns you may have. If we can't get enough buy power to purchase more than 500 units then this will become a no go and I will not collect any payments!

Alright guys, let's do this!

Yun, from my experience from the ipod group buy, it may be an idea to actually keep taking on ICPOs even after you have reached the 500 units. This will give you some leverage in case someone cant be part of the buy anymore.

Harry, thanks for the advice. I will definitely take as many orders as possible to the last moment.

After we reach the 500 unit mark by ICPO, I was thinking that I would stop taking ICPOs and just start taking payments from anyone else who wants to be part of the group buy. I need the ICPOs up to the 500 unit mark in order to be sure that I can follow through with the order. Once the collection of funds starts, I plan to only wait until the last person of the ICPO group gets their payment in. If anyone else can get their payment in during that time frame, then I would gladly include their order. I guess my intention is to submit the order as soon as possible.

I'm not sure if this will make sense to everybody. Let me know if something is confusing and I will try my best to clarify.

Just remember - as long as you get your payment in before the deadline (which will be announced), your order will be included in the group buy.

Default Update on shipping fees

I have been getting some inquiries about what the shipping fee will be. Since everyone lives in a different place, everyone's shipping fee will be different. Rather than me figuring out each individual's shipping fee, it'd be great if each person can try to estimate their own shipping fee. As stated before, each buyer can choose their own preferred shipping method. Alternatively, I'll gladly ship the items through my FedEx shipping account.

For now, let's assume that the goods will weigh 1 pound per unit. If you plan to use FedEx (whether your own account or mine), try to estimate your own shipping fees from 22312 (my zip code) to wherever you are by going to the following link
http://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/home...ack+Rates+Corp

When choosing options please be sure to remember that either direct signature or adult signature will be required. Also, the declared value will determine the amount of insurance you are getting. If you are at a residential address, a residential surcharge will be added. Finally, there will most likely also be a fuel surcharge.

Let me know if you have any trouble doing this.

Default Update on Personal/Business Information

Hello all,

I have finished preparing my personal/business information. The list is as follows:

Personal Info:
Copy of Driver's License
Copy of Government Work ID
Copy of College ID
Copy of College Diploma

Business Info:
Bank Account Application
Certificate of Organization from the State Corporation Commission
Receipt for Filing Certificate of Organization
Home Occupation Permit from County Office

These will be released once the collection of ICPOs is finished before payments are collected. The payment collection will begin once I have enough orders to secure at least 500 units.

Keep 'em coming! Let's aim to pool all the funds by next weekend!

Thumbs up Great!

Thanks for your efforts, Yun. The documents you will disclose can make the buyers feel a lot better. Anyway, did you get our ICPO? I sent it to you this morning. I think we should move as quickly as possible because cell phone prices usually drop fast. Please all parties who want to join this group buy submit your ICPO immediately. I hope this group buy will be as planned, at least. The iPod group buy took too long.

We would probably be interested in 100-200 units. Preferred method of payment is american express. Do you have a credit card cap? Thanks!!
