How many hours does 250GB DVR record?

All depends on the FPS (Frames per second) you select.

25FPS real-time will eat up the hard disk space within a week.

A more appropriate rate such as 8FPS (which we default all tailor made packages to for customers) would last in the region of 2 - 3 weeks. Realistically 25FPS is OTT and and used for high risk applications.

The above is based on continuous 24/7 recording. Use motion detection settings and you can lengthen the recording time considerably.

I have just emailed my brother about going 50/50 on a setup each, waiting for a reply. Would installation be availabe at cost price up in Co Durham?
