Dont want to put the mockers on this but at the moment Ireland has switched over to Nagra3, which means these wont work afaik, same is planned for the rest of UK. I can give the source if needed.

It all boils down to money mate, if you have a source that say def swapping on certain date then i'd listen. But at the moment its just hearsay about nagra3, they are looking into IP tv more cus it's cheaper.
Your right spud. But what i meant was that Ireland is the testing ground & although everybody knew it was going to come they switched it overnight suprising everybody (if that makes sense?).

Yes but there cable supplier and our cable supplier are different companies so the comparison is just hearsay yet again. They never changed it over night either, new cards had to be sent out and in some cases new hardware had to be sent out, thats hardly over night.
I also heard that these sort of boxes would not be working in the near future is this true ? will this switching to Nagra3 affect virgin plus boxes with dodgy cards? as ive been offered a card for my v+ but dont wanna risk it if it aint gonna work.
