Default Desperately need a site review!

I've spent considerable time on this site and have a couple of questions concerning keywords and duplicate content.

The site is selling a number of similar products, ready-to-run web stores. The only real difference is the products being offered in the stores.

At first the pages for each product store were virtually indentical, with only the products being different. I have since re-written the pages to where the content is similar, but different. There are probably no two identical sentences, certainly not two identical paragraphs between any of the pages.

BUT - the keywords are identical. After tall, the sites are truly identical, except for the items offered. So, they are all dropship related and any keyword that applies to one applies to all. Again, with the change of the product itself.

So, am I going to have trouble with the search engines interperting this as duplication? That's my major concern. Of course, other comments are welcome, but having a problem with the engines is by far what I am most interested in avoiding.

Two other things - the buttons across the top do not all work. I know this.

And, on the home page and one other I used little arrow icons and dots by the subtitles and paragraphs. Is it safe to put alt tags on all of these little images, and if so, should I add them to all of the pages?

So, all comments welcome. But keeping Google, Yahoo, et al happy is my main concern.

Here's the link - this is not the final home, just a spare url I had to work on the site without having it live -

Nice site.

It is very "templately" if you get what I mean. I like the way you have added colour though I think this does make it stand out. There is also a lot of content on the site which is always good to bring the public into your site.

A few negatives (constructive critisism)

The picture of the woman at the top I would personally get rid of, it makes it look like you have got the site straight out of the box and not made it your own. Personally I would replace the picture with either your company logo or just leave it plain for the background. I mean come on she isn't even attractive

The colour of the bottom menu (right at the bottom of the page) should really be the same colour as the top menu in my opinion. Also try and get a few more images in each of the page, not images that aren't relevant, but try and find ones that will fit nicely and express what you are trying to put accross to your audience. For instance you could put the paypal logo somewhere if you accept paypal or whatever.

Nice site but hopefully the above has given you a few things to think about, your replying comments would be much appreciated.

Pete,

I like the site, nice and easy to follow and functional and the navigation is easy and flows well.

Just address the font on the following page and also put a spacer to move the text away from the edge of the cell..

As far as the SE's go you should have no issues with dupe content and you seem to have the KWD in the right ball park (presumably its dropship company that is your target search term)

Alt tags are losing there importance in the SE's due to widespread abuse but they still have some weight but I would refrain form putting them on the button images as they serve no purpose (illustration wise) and you can be penalised for keyword spamming if you go OTT as alt tags contribute to your KWD.

Just had a quick look at your meta tag information and I like the way you have refrained from going OTT with keywords (the SE's all but ignore these anyway) and focused on the description. Maybe look at your title tags, for example :

Pet Supplies Dropship may be better worded as Dropship Pet Supplies or Dropshipping Pet Supplies or Dropshipping Website - Pet Supplies, there is no proof that the SE's weight the way in which the words are placed but there is a school of thought, which I agree with, that the best place for your main keyword is always first.

When you get up and running, let me know and I will give you a recipricol link from my site (min PR3) which should get the SE's bots there nice and quick. Also make a post on my forum and include an anchor text link to your site as Google Bot hits almost immediately when a post is made so will put you in the index queue

Also loose the duplication on the links in the left column, one is more than enough and it will also free up a bit of extra space to implement "whatever" in the column.

I agree with comments about the bottom nav bar but maybe think about losing it all together and moving the additional links up and removing the duplication and then including an anchor text return to top link. This will help on your link weightings as the SE's (in particular Google) do not distinguish between internal/external links.
