After a little more research it seems that there are a few ways to monetise this game, I have managed to get in touch with a couple of 'entrepreneurs' that are utilising avatar/item selling and making an easy $500 a month (their claim) and I am furthur looking into this as a possible means of development. However the SL scripting language is tough going

I thought about becoming a virtual prostitute as there seems to be a large market for it

I thought it took hours to make good cash on sl, depending on how you do it.

unless you started a casino or lottery thing evrything else eg designing outfits and stuff would take hours.

Yeh I think I would need to be making £15 - £20 an hour to consider doing it as a full time income.

I made a few dollars on there. I placed casino type fruit machines in a area where lots of newbies went. They were all loaded with there free signup bonus money and they wanted to try stuff so I took advantage. But like someone else said, its buggy so I never bothered playing again.

i'm a sl resident too and thought to make some easy money. but it appears that if you have no land or store , it's difficult to earn something. Moreover, i believe the market is now full of "designers" who create some stuff for the game. So if you don't have a new idea, i belive you will better have to laucnh something in your "real life".

But if you still want to launch in this game, here is a site where you could sell your creations : http://www.slexchange.com/
