Angry Fraud Email, Your Online Banking is Blocked....

Does anyone in UK get this email from: OnlineService@lloydstsb.co.uk
with the topic: Your Online Banking is Blocked

I think it is the fraud email since we do not have any bank account in UK. Also, since we only have information in here related to UK, we just ask can any UK people get this email? Anyway, just want to share since I think it should be a fraud email and don't click any link within the below email. If anything is wrong, please point it out. Thanks.

It's spam.

The link (Please Click here to start) is a classic sign!

Lloyds TSB have notices all over their online banking service with details about these spam emails that are unfortunately circulating.

Yes, I think so. However, I saw a TV programme from US about the scammers in Nigeria such as 419. The TV programme said there is only 1% people believe them, they can get 2-digit billion US dollars(don't remember exactly, maybe wrong, anyway it is a lot of money). Thus, they still believe that it is a great way to cheat the money from the stupid and/or greedy people.

Yeah, to most people who aren't that "involved" with the internet I suppose these emails seem quite genuine but they are very very dangerous.

The messaage is the same, the medium is different.

This stuff has been around forever. Before email it was (and still is) phone calls and postal mail.

Nothing new here, just a different messenger.

And some people believe it.

My mother-in-law, an educated woman, once started packing her bags for a "trip to New York" she had "won". Only when they asked for a "refundable deposit" did my wife and I convince her to hang up when they called.

Right click on the link and look at the properties . I bet you it is a a different link.
Scammers do that a lot with Paypal spoof emails.
