Angry Royal Mail Postal Strike, What a joke!

Anybody else getting infuriated by the Royal Mail workers continuing this strike action? It was going on throughout the summer and now it seems it will continue to keep happening until RM cave and pay their workers more.

An article covered by the BBC this morning:
Quote:
More talks as post strike goes on

Talks between the postal workers' union and Royal Mail will begin again later as a strike over pay and job cuts continues to disrupt services.

Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU), representing 130,000 postal workers, began the first of two 48-hour walkouts at noon on Thursday.
With another strike planned for Monday, the row will end deliveries for a week.

Meanwhile, Unite, which represents 12,000 managers, has reached agreement with Royal Mail in its pension dispute.

A complete farce, whats worse is that the members have not even been balloted for this strike, all down to the extorsionist leaders of the unions. They have been offered 2.5% yet CPI increase is at less than 2%, a bunch of Scargill wannabes.

I hope there is an election soon, I vote Maggie.

Royal Mail should have given us more notice; I can’t see that it was planned over night. It’s left a lot of people in a terrible position. The only alternative now is a Courier, not exactly the best option for small packages or letters. Should we be the ones suffering when ultimately we have nothing to do with it? There are people who get paid by cheque, which is sent via post. What happens to them when they cannot pay their mortgage or feed their children?

Postmen/ women are getting paid roughly £395 per week, that’s more than a nurse! We are all in the same boat, with spiralling house prices, taxes rising left, right, and centre. A strike is just not the answer.
