Do you have a rock or an anchor?
I am in a good mood thanks to a little text I have just recieved from my good lady and I got to thinking how lucky I am to have her. Emotionally and intellectually, we are on the same wavelength and in 6 1/2 years, we have never had a raised voice nor a crossed word.
She has supported me whenever I have needed it. From taking care of the kids/house/dinner on the table when I have been working 80 hours per week, shoulder to cry on when I have just lost a big deal, encouragement when things are bleak etc etc. Without her, I doubt I could achieve what I am sure we inevitably will/already have.
Anyone else here have someone integral to their business without actually being connected to the business? Its the best deal I ever made thats for sure. Wouldn't even like to go on doing the things I do if I didn't have such a good reason for doing it.
If you are doing it on your own, what keeps you motivated when times are hard/what advice do you have to give others out there in the same boat?

My missus helps out in the shop for a few days a week but unfortunately isn't business minded at all. I will talk to her and ask what roles she wants to play, I then leave her to it and she wants me to hold her hand. It would be great to give her certain tasks within the business nd for those tasks to be taken care of but that's never going to happen.
She tries her best to support me but she's got the kids and house to look after and that's where her heart is.

well I have been married 4 times.
3 were utter disasters but the fourth makes up for all the misery but also reminds me of the times spent in purgatory needlessly.
The first I married partly through stupidity and defiance
The second for stability.
The third for lust
The fourth because of passion and devotion and the radiance of a good heart. I trust her with my life [literally given my circumstances] my heart and my money. She allows me to be who I am and I afford her the same respect and latitude in all things.
I have no doubt that my former matrimonial encumbrances would say similar disparaging things about me, which I will not dispute there entitlement to.

Great to hear. I am in a similar situation but its the experience of the earlier failures which has helped me to make this relationship so succesful.
