I had 3 paper rounds and loved them. Two on a sunday and they were heavy and a midweek free paper sort. Made £20 a week which seems nothing but as a kid it was great. Not the worst job but I know what you mean as they did get a bit annoying. As you do a paper round im assuming you are at school. I used to sell pop, sweets and crisps etc to make extra cash. Could usually buy a big bag of crisps and sell them for 20p-30p each and I would be doubling my money. Pop at 50p a can would make a fair bit also. I know my old school no longer sells fizzy pop or so called junk food and if I was there now I would be making a load. All depends how much you want to make and how strict the school are. It did make me enough extra money but I also sold things on ebay and made money from a few other things. Good idea to keep your job for now as it will help buy stock

You could get some other ideas from this thread, or apply for a job at a supermarket

Cans of Coke during summer was always a great one. The school canteen could never keep enough drinks in stock so we took up the slack. Used to work out at about £10 per case profit. You could easily shift 10 cases a week. The company that ran the canteen hated us, but even the teachers ended up buying from us!

I also managed to buy teachers editions of several text books off eBay... Now that was profitable.

I use to sell cigarettes. Go on holiday - buy them dirt cheap and sell them for £3.50 per pack (for a pack of 20.) - Which is £2ish cheaper than they are in the shops. I did that from when I was 14 to 18 - stopped in year 13 as no-one smoked - now I'm at Uni everyone smokes and I am going to America in 2 weeks so I will be getting some stock.
Use to make a bloody fortune - sometimes £100+ a week, had the teachers buying from me too. Always remember to keep several packs in your bag/locker at all times. Because what I found - if someone wanted a pack and you didn't have any - they would go to the shop and buy them - customer lost. Good thing I have never smoked or my family don't otherwise they would have been gone!
I remember I once bought 4,000 back from the Caribbean when I was like 15. The limit was 200...put them all in my sisters suitcase who was 7 at the time....ahh, good times.
