I'm maybe thinking a dual/triple monitor setup as opposed to a single large screen may be a good choice..

looks good apart from vista, which is still crap and still has too many problems running programs, software, etc...

Nice budget!

I would lose the Patriot ram, Corsair would be a sound choice.

I would stick with Vista, service pack is out shortly and as long as all your components are compliant (check before purchase) you shouldn't have too many issues (apart from the usual unreliability of Windows).

By the way, the proposed setup just for playing WOW is slightly overkill.

Defo over kill for WOW, but if it's your thing

Vista is pants for any gaming in my opinon. In fact, it's pants full stop.

Wirless keyboards are not good for gaming.
Windows Vista HATES low end gaming pads and joysticks. I am still down grading people who have purchased high end scanners industrial dot matrix printers, bar code users and many more because vista cries like a baby on installation.
My favourate OS is Mandriva Linux...
I only use windows xp dual boot to play MOHAA
Best ever out the windows was 2000. XP and Vista has more holes than Delila's bucket.

Im looking for a medium term bullet proof gaming system so I dont have to run my normal PC as it like at the moment, take on board the memory comments and will look at what I can do there. Decided to bin the single monitor to

Am hearing mixed about Vista, can always downgrade if required
