I black lab, 1 boxer / pit bull and just put down a yellow lab.

3 cats, a manx, a tiger and a fluffy black one.

1 lizard.

A bunch of Mallard Ducks and Canada Geese.

We often have a squirrel or two, sometimes a raccoon, depending on what falls from the trees any given spring.

The coons are the best of the bunch. Cleaner than cats, will play with everyone, even ride the dogs backs when swimming in the river. Never would have believed it.

We have had 5 labs over a 40+ year period. Place wouldn't be the same without at least one.

Had my old lady even longer than that, and I wouldn't be the same without her....

Interesting wildlife Pete.... we have a few oddballs wandering in now and then... frogs [big and small] which the dogs like to play with, leaves them foaming at the mouth though, literally. Geckos and lizards of all sizes. Huge dragonflies and butterflies.... and snakes..... from cobras [nasty beggars] to constrictors..... and occasionally a green viper has a wander through.....
its a jungle out there

I've got no jungle, just a marsh. Well, the deer do nibble at the tomatoes. And while it's never been my thing, the kids a couple of houses down do some selling of muskrat and beaver pelts. See a snake swimming the river from time to time, amazing how they glide across, but none to speak of - you're welcome to them.

We've been buying sacks of cracked corn for the ducks for 30 years. A local wildlife museum used to give away ducklings each spring for folks to raise through the first months, then release. They hang around all year and bring more with them all the time. We've had probably 100 at a time out around the pier.

We about gave it up once, then a school teacher friend started raising 4 or 5 ducks in the class and needed somewhere to leave them when school closed for the summer, so we got right back into it.

Can do without the geese. Their crap is to messy.

Does this mean you have water access?..... and fishing???...... and a boat?????
heaven...... some of the best times in my life have been spent fishing..... even when I dont catch anything.... the scenery, the calm, the peace, the reflective silence, the relaxation....... you got a spare room for a few months mate?.... only when its warm though.... dont do cold.
Sounds like a good life mate.... good on ya

Got all that, except the fishing pole. Never been able to sit and do nothing in my life. Done plenty of water skiing, don't mind throwing over a few chicken necks when in the mood for crabs, but to just sit drowning worms all day is not my thing.

Bullmastiffs are in my top 3 dog breeds. Great dogs, but take a lot of work!

Cats....mmmmm...we have a cat in residence but I rather she would move out !

I would have to say I am a cat person rather than a dog person.
Well, I've been bitten by a cat and they also mark all over my porch, garage ect.

I have had 2 labs and 2 cats which are buried out in my yard.

I am more of a dog kinda guy and am almost ready for another lab
