A useful resource for worried US parents....I was reading a while ago about Jessica Law : Sexual Predator Punishment and Control Act of 2006 that was being pushed and totally agreed with what they were saying.

Its a harsh stance but I do not agree with the protection of such low human beings, even in prison they have to protect them from other so called social misfits (thieves ect) as they have their own ways of dealing with these predators (leave them to dish out prison justice I say).

The sooner a site is available like this for the UK then the better, i will promote it on every one of my sites.

Mike

PS. I don't condone or belittle other offences such as theft ect...

A POPULAR American website that tracks paedophiles hopes to soon launch in the UK.

Concerned parents would be able to enter their address or post code and the site will then display a map of their area pinpointing where sex offenders live and work.

Familywatchdog.us also sends e-mail alerts when a registered sex offender moves into the neighbourhood.

The free service is the brain child of American man Steve Roddel who started the site last year after struggling to learn about a serial rapist who had moved close to his home.

He said: "I feel there is as much a need for Family Watchdog in the UK as there is here in America. Wherever children are, they need protecting.

"We are ready to launch in Britain. We are just waiting for the law to be changed.

"It is important for parents to know the potential threat to their loved ones and have the correct information to protect their children.

"As a father I'd call on Tony Blair to make the data on sex offenders public and give us the legal right to publish it."

The website uses address data provided by state sex offenders registries to plot the location of offenders.

By clicking on a colour-coded square details appear about where registered sex offenders live and the types of crimes they have committed.

Cybersurfers can even view photos of the paedophile.

Mr Roddel added: "This service exists for one reason, and one reason only. I was tired of reading stories about missing nine and 10 year old children killed by registered sex offenders, and decided to do something about it."

"I pray for the day that our service is no longer necessary, and look forward to shutting it down. Until then, I hope Family Watchdog is every family's best friend."

The site attracts four million hits a month and is the most popular paedophile watchdog website in America.

Mr Roddel also slammed Education Secretary Ruth Kelly for allowing convicted sex fiends to work in schools.

He said: "It is dangerous to allow these people access to our kids. There is no study in the world that shows a child molester can be rehabilitated."
