How I can set the file permissions on my images directory so that people can't view it directly (ie by typing in www.ipod-supplier.com/images), but can view images inside it on my webpages?[/color]

I want it to say "Forbidden" or something similar when they type in www.ipod-supplier.com/images. I want to display the images inside the directory on my webpages.[/color]

I've tried setting the file permissions to "owner only" on the directory, but the images don't show up on the pages either.

Just include an index file into your directory then when people go to the folder they just see that index file.
