Re: Just quit smoking. Not liking it a bit.
Champix,Zyban and also the inhalators help. It's fairly easy to stop smoking when you're on these. The tricky bit is when you stop taking them.
I like a smoke and have given up trying to give up.

Re: Just quit smoking. Not liking it a bit.
Good luck
I am on my 6th week quitting. I could go all day smoking none but then smoke 20 within an hour when the symptoms of my illness hit during the night. (I'd be sitting waiting on my meds working)
I quit cold turkey but invested in Boot's own inhalators after about a week. Best thing I did. I kept them for during the night when I was sat on here trying to pass the time until I could go back to bed.
I've saved £175 so far. Amazing. All in a jar as well. Hope no-one decides to break in, mind you, they'd need to be built like Arnold to carry that jar. Lol
Keep on going, it does get easier!

Re: Just quit smoking. Not liking it a bit.
I also read the book written by Alan Carr - it was a real eye opener and in fact, it helped me a lot in the process of quitting!

Any you people know what I am talking about? Anyone ever go through this as well?
I am wondering if there are ways to get over "stress smoking", that don't involve eating, e-cigarettes (bwahahaha), patches, or loss of stress (since that is how I perform best).

You haven't quit yet, you are trying to quit and are no presently smoking.
In a year or two you can say you've actually quit.
I've managed to be tobacco free for about 40 years and still get the urge from time to time.

Re: Just quit smoking. Not liking it a bit.
Well done and good luck, I smoked rollies for years, really stopped after my 2 yr old was born, now I'm a social smoker, just when out drinking, so maybe 1 night a month i will smoke, but some nights have none. I think the fact i never said to myself i have stopped smoking, just cutting back, helped, and the fact I had no time to go out for 1 with 2 under 2's.
Don't be hard on yourself either, and you need to stop thinking about it, train your mind to think about something else, also did you do it at certain times, like have a cig when you were on the phone, or after food etc, you'll need to break the habbit which is hard. the more you think about stopping and counting the days the harder it will be. Relax, forget about it, you have moved on from that stage of your life. Join the gym, get fit, ( not saying your not already fit, or at the gym )
