This is so true. I always have one on the way to the office in the morning and when I tried to give up, it's so hard to get out of that routine.

It's the same with anything really, people that are over weight, they have spent years over eating so it's going to take years to change the habbit, it's never going to be easy. It's your own mind you have to retrain, to think differently. What your taking away from your life you have to replace with something different, fill the void, smoking/eating it's a big part of your life. I'm the same with chocolate, I just can't stop eating it, maybe go a couple of days without then back to getting loads again. should go see a hypnotist, lol

If you like a smoke, have a smoke.

We will all die of something.

That's my somewhat simplistic outlook anyway.

Smoking is a habit. A good time to quit is when you have a change of routine.

Going on holiday is a good time to try. You are not in the everyday get out of bed, hit the crapper, fire one up, get dressed, have a cuppa, fire one up, etc. routine.

Entirely different schedule, use it to your advantage and break the habits by not acting like a robot as you do at home, going to work, out with the mates workaday deal.

Not bad advice. Really funny thing in the past though was that when I went to the gym, the first thing I would do on the walk home would be to take a quick cig. Always enjoyed that feeling for some reason.
