Default PayPal Trouble

Hi,

I recently sold something on eBay, and have dispatched the item. However, the buyer is impatient and has filed a dispute with PayPal. My account is now -xxx.

Prior to selling my item on eBay, I removed any credit or debit cards & bank accounts that were linked to PayPal.

My question is: How are PayPal going to get the money from me if I have no credit or debit cards or bank account on file with them? All they've done is made my account in the red.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

mas123

If you have shipped item, just send them tracking number and they should re instate the balance once the item is received.

Try phoning them up to explain the situation, this will help your case.

PayPal number is : 08707307191

Thanks for your reply.

But say that the PayPal verdict goes against me. Do they have any way of getting the money from me?

Thanks,

No they will try with emails and letter but they cant take it off you.

But if you have sent item and can prove it then you have nothing to worry about.

Hi,

Just to make absolutely sure. Can anyone second/confirm what YNWA is saying?

I've heard of PayPal talking people to court for PayPal accounts in the red. However, I've only heard of this in the U.S, is it the same in the U.K?

Thanks,

mas123

Why are you worried? If you are not ripping the person off and have sent the item to him then you should be able to prove with tracking / receipts and you won't have a problem.

Hi,

I think you should read www.paypalsucks.com as YNWA suggested. It doesent matter if I'm right or wrong, PayPal can do what it wants.

Can anyone a confirm what YNWA has said?

Thanks,

mas123

If you are that worried get a proper online merchant account with your bank.

If you can prove you sent item and they dont refund you then phone them up and threaten them with court!
