COD? I'd never ship COD.

Try UPS if available.

I dont think delivery drivers or the recieveing public can be trusted with COD in the UK , i would imagine money and products going missing, drivers gettin robbed etc...

COD arent cash, theyre money orders. Some places just dont do it, use escrow instead.

Even in the wild and woo;y US of A COD is an accepted form of shipment. I've never heard of a parcel delivery driver getting robbed for any COD money he may happen to have at that time. UPS will not do cash, just checks or money orders and some sellers (not UPS themselves) demand certified funds.

The UPS driver basically puts the check in an envelope which is mailed to the seller.

And the driver will not release the package until the funds are received. At least they are not supposed to. Some will let the person receiving the package open it, others will not..

One big drawback to COD is that if the addressee decides they don't want the package, doen't have the money, whatever, and it is returned to sender, the shipping and fees are still to be paid to the carrier. So, you run the risk of having the item(s) out of stock for a week or more and then having to pay shipping on the goods right back to yourself.

For that last reason, many companies no longer ship COD. Folks will order with all good intentions, but by the time the package arrives they've made too many trips to McDonalds and have no money.

I can't imagine DHL, et al not doing COD in the UK, unless there is some law against it.
