I am selling some von dutch hats to a buyer but he is insisting on transfering payment into my account , is that safe???? and not using paypal or credit cards

Which is the safest option for me to receive payment on??

Just be wary.

Give him only the 8 digit account number, 6 digit sort code and the name of the bank thats given and of course your name as it appears on your account.

If he asks for any other security details like your cvs number, valid from etc or any security questions/answers that its a scammer for sure.
If he doesnt wish to pay via paypal/credit card then you could ask him to pay by postal order and only ship out when the funds have cleared and is in your hands.

Talk to your bank manager and see how safe this is.

It's unusual to allow the buyer to set the terms. That in itself would be enough to make me tell him "no thanks."
