PAYPAL problem - please help!
Hi everyone,
Im having a major problem with paypal! It won't let my buyers make a payment through ebay. I have contacted them and they won't tell me whats going on or why the problem exists. I have no limits on my account so it can't be that. Im losing money and have lost 4 customers just this morning so the problem is really starting to hurt business. Any advice guys?
Thanks in advance everyone

Are you sure it isn't just a glitch?
What are the buyers experiencing when they try to make the payment? "Sorry we cannot process your request at this time?" or similar? - That would mean Paypal maintenance which in the past has caused many businesses havoc.
Try ringing them you will never get anything out of them over email.

Thanks Anthony.
When people try to buy through ebay it is giving the following message:
"Unfortunately, there was a problem with this transaction and it cannot be completed. Please try again later or contact the seller directly for more information."
I have sent several emails to paypal, all have been answered, but the response has been slightly generic. Ive tried to phone them but can't seem to get past their automated service. It isn't a problem with limits as these have been lifted. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it, im selling pre-orders so losing these sales is beginning to hurt, ive now had 5 sales gone begging today becasue of this problem. Have you got any advice as to how to resolve this issue?
Thanks again Anthony.
Justin

try getting in touch with paypal again or maube getting your customers to pay through paypal independently rather than paying through ebay and then paypal, or you could offer one of payment methods like bank transfer or cheque but i doubt many customers will accept that.

Thanks so much titan. The problem im having with that is I am unsure of how to do this. I am selling via buy it now with the immediate payment option selected. Shall I just wait for buyer's to contact me and then tell them to pay via paypal only?
I know this is a rather simplistic question but jut trying to work out the logistics, I've just had 3 customers tell me they have bought the product elsewhere so ive missed them and don't want to miss anymore.
Thanks again for the help.

Contact all of your buyers and inform then of this issue. Before you lose customers, ask then to pay you from their PayPal account and not through eBay. I also suggest you contact eBay & PayPal to inform then of this. It's quite strange really. Is your PayPal address linked to your eBay account? Check your eBay profile and PayPal profile.
Hope this helps.

Also, make sure it's not someone trying to rip you off by telling you they can't get the paypal to work and suggesting some other form of payment.
Or, it might be that paypal has a problem with THEM.
Try a purchase from yourself, or have a friend make one and see how that turns out.

Hey Justin,
How about logging into you paypal account and send him a paypal invoice to their email address for the auction. Sometimes I have customers that request this but not very often. Mostly just new users that are not sure how it's done.
