Default Courier Help - Good deal?

I'm looking for a courier to ship my products. The Weight is about 8kgs and its 45 x 45 x 20 cm dimensions. I phoned around to see what quotes ill get. As i'm shipping from N.Ireland to Uk Mainland im finding it hard to get the price down.

CityLink have quoted me £13 inc VAT up to 10kgs from N.Ireland to Mainland uk and around £5 for N.Ireland delivery. Is this the best price i can hope to achieve?

The prices are better than TNT etc and local couriers. Are there any couriers which are cheap from N.Ireland to Uk, even if its a 3 - 5 Business day delivery. As long as they use tracking numbers and Singed delivery.

Thanks.

Initial city link are a good service for UK - N.Ireland, we used to send lots of parcels over there, from uk to n.ireland.

Good price i think, but you are paying for the good service aswell.

I've been quoted £9.25 including VAT with DHL (using the same weight and measurements you stated) This includes a £50 transit cover

Hi,
Just to let you know, you can use my thread if your still looking for more couriers:
Shipping Couriers

And I got that quote from Interparcel who offer discounts on couriers. And I selected UK as my destination (it didn't ask me where the origin of the parcel is)

I would recommend Parcel2Go, they are similar to Interparcel as they buy in bulk off couriers. They offer 1-2 day delivery with DHL Home 48 + £50 cover for 5.99 + VAT.

They do have imitations on size and weight:
25kg maximum parcel weight
100cm maximum parcel length
5 cubic feet maximum parcel size

I think it's a pretty good deal but if you want it next day then they may not be the best for next day deliveries.

Hope this helps.

I think £13 is the best you'll get for NI.
