Default Payments

Hi there,

I am opening a website where people can shop for my stuff there. The only available payment i can offer now is paypal. But as you guys know, paypal is very notorious with there "freezing spree". I don't want that to happen.

I heard about google checkout but i dont really know how it works. If anyone could explain to me more i would be glad.

Can you guys also post alternatives for me to recieve payments? Any method how customers can pay me through credit cards?

BTW Im located in malaysia

Haven't you already asked this in another thread? Sorry if you didn't like the answers there, bu they are unlikely to be different here.

In Maylaysia you are limited as to taking cards. Here is a link to a site where you can get a full US business registered business and a credit card merchant account.

You can find out all you need to know on Google Checkout by doing a search on this forum - it's been discussed many times - or by going to Google and seeing what they have to say. Many do not like it because it does not allow you to register your customers. They are much more strict than PayPal.

Why not contact your local bank and contact PayPal / Google, etc. directly?

Get the real facts from the people involved.

Agreed, do get in contact with Google it self. Problem is different countries have different regulations on payments taken online. Personally, I would talk to your bank and ask them for what sort of flexibility you have with your bank account and if they can handle online payments via credit/debit card.
Another thing that comes into play is, for example in the UK, you can not use all cards to make a payment to a foreign bank.
