Default Paypal Postage Stamps Recorded First Class

Ok, yesterday I printed out 65 postage stamps from paypal- all recorded signed for.

i went to the post office today and due to certain circumstances i got there late and the post office was closed.

this was a big problem as all the dvds needed to go by the end of today and I had already paid for all the postage stamps. (coming to around £100)

anyway, i knocked on the door and as the workers were still all there, they let me in and said the dvds would be sent anyway, but not recorded, as the post office was already closed.

so what i need to know is, will my dvds still be sent despite the fact that they were recorded, will they just go first class?

if someone could help me with this i would really appreciate, i think i might have to go back there at 7am, thanks.

I'd imagine just standard first class.

What happens at the post office with recorded paypal stamps? Do they just scan the barcode and print a receipt? And the receipt is proof of posting?

Never used the service, but I would assume you get a reffrence number (tracking number) when you order. Which acts as your proof of postage.
