Dont help here as truckers are blocking roads and did at one point block borders with portugal and france. Fisherman are also on strike - Like being in 70's England.

This is only beginning... unfortunately, worst is still to come.

People can blame government (like in Spain, France) but they do not realize that they can't help. Oil prices will raise more and more, no one can afford to subsidize that.

Of course they can help! Oil barrel prices isn't the problem. The tax is the problem. In the UK we could have the lowest petrol prices in Europe if the government didn't take their 70% cut.

Petrol tax is just like offering free shipping. The few grand a month we earn from shipping prices is just too good to loose by offering everything delivered free!

I am sure that smoking is at record highs now - particularly among women/teenage girls?

The tax from fags does directly contribute towards the NHS in some way. Tax on petrol what does that contribute directly to? Can't be the roads as we have road tax?

I agree but in the UK the problems are reaching boiling point, and quite rightly so. Gordon Brown is bringing the country to it's knees and the less fortunate are the ones being hit and they are the ones more likely to make a stance. His days are seriously numbered (oh and he wasn't even voted in!).
