Hi,

Just wondered how you all deal with this, I gret about 4-5 payments a day via paypal but these buyers do not have verified address's.
I still send out the order by calling the customer etc, I ask for the last 3 digits on the back of the card (so it looks like check are being verified) then ship the order if i feel the buyer is genuine, if not I refund them.

what do you guys do to get around this?

Then you're leaving a lot of money on table. Why?

1) Roughly only half of PayPal users have verified address.

2) In Europe, besides UK, no one can get a verified address.

Of course, if you're dealing with items worth hundreds of pounds, it's worth making that call or something. But for smaller items? It's not worth your time.

I don't sell smaller items - most are £250 - £350 plus vat.

Just don't have time to do my own verification - too busy.

If paypal don't protect the seller, I'm not interested.

Makes sense! This obviously depends on market you're in.
