Default Paypal Payments

Hi

I was just wondering about the security of paypal. If someone in a foreign country such as Italy/Nigeria(i dont know why everyone dosent want paypal from Africa Nigeria etc) wanted to pay for something via paypal to me, Should i accept?

Because if i get the payment then send the item they cant reverse the payment can they?

I always see auctions etc that say no shipping to nigeria, but i dont know why because once you have payment arnt you safe?

Thanks for any help

This is why you shouldn't accept orders / payment from people in Nigeria:

You have been warned. Several times it appears. While there are probably a few honest people in Nigeria, most online sales come to grief.

Again, you have been warned. If you want to do what it seems you are intent on doing and accept sales from there, don't say you have not been warned.

You can discuss it, analyse it, dice and shred it, whatever. The fact remains that you are taking a gamble than normal when doing business with Nigeria.

They can claim they did not get the goods and get a refund.

As Pete mentioned, the client can make a claim on the goods and ask for a refund, and Paypal 98% of the time refund no questions asked in favour of the customer, so it's your choice.

Ye thats what i was un easy about because i have had a customer claim on me and paypal said because i did not have recorded delivery, i would need to refund the buyer and loose the item.

Im guessing not sending the item would be a wiser choice?

It's not that the buyer will claim they didn't recieve their goods. It's that the buyer will be using a stolen credit card.

Hi
You don't have to worry about nigeria and paypal as they will not accept any dealings from nigeria, they are banned by PayPal.
