Default Shipping parts from different suppliers

Hi,

Im importing parts from China to pack in the UK to sell as one kit. I want to know if there is a way of having them shipped together from China- even though they are from different suppliers? are there companys that can handle this this?

Not sure on quantities yet so could be part container or air freight.

Thanks

You could potentially (if cost effective) ship them all to the same port and then bring them over all in one freight. I think it would make more sense that way than importing them at different times and incurring extra costs. There are plenty of logistic operations that can help you with this, a number of them are mentioned on this forum.

There are companies called freight consolidators and also shipping agents.

If you do a little searching on this forum, I know there are a couple of UK based that post here.

You may also find some in China, and possibly save a bit, but until you know what you are doing I'd suggest someone who speaks the same language as a first language.

You could find an agent in China and ask all of your suppliers to send products to its warehouse. Then the agent would ship them together.

get yourself a logistics company to sort it all out for you..... from inspection of goods to delivery
or a shipping agent to arrange shipping aspects and get supplying companies to deliver to agent or agent to collect

Going to look into a logistics company.

The goods do need inspecting. The ideal is to have suppliers deliver to 1 location for storage, goods checked and then shipped all together. I dont mind spending extra on English speaking/owned company to start.

Thanks guys, will start looking on the forum/google for more info.

If anybody can recommend somebody or has done this then that would help.

Cheers

Please make sure that the Bill of Lading should be ONE, otherwise you will pay much there in UK customs house.
But here in China, it is difficult to issue one B/L with several supplier because each supplier should make customs clearance seperately.
My advice is that you ask the big supplier(the volume is the biggest) to collect all products from other supplier and then ask this supplier to handle delivery to the loading port and the forwarder issue ONE B/L.
Otherwise you will pay a very little money to the shipping forwarder and ask them to issue just ONE B/L
