Default Fly and Buy..... and die?

Heh, just a little dramatic with the title there, but my question is quite serious...

Fly & Buy would appear to be one of the more secure methods of insuring you get what you pay for, however what if the buy location is at a private warehouse other than SGS or Hellmann? Images of mobsters holding a gun to the buyers head and having him wire money to a swiss bank account come to mind when thinking of this situation....

Has anyone heard of any wholesale buyers getting caught in something like this? And what's the best way to survive a Fly&Buy?

Thanks!

Just don't go on your own!!

Leave the money in your bank and check the stock first!! before you pay!

Try to meet them in a public place

If in doubt tho! JUST DON'T GO!!

Dave

Dave raises some good points - Don't go alone (where possible), Research the company you are dealing with, and be very cautious.

LOL. That's a pretty funny post. However, I doubt anyones going to whack you for your L/C. I guess if you were to bring a briefcase full of cash there is a possibility of getting robbed.

But I think these things generally happen in drug deals, not iPod sales. But hey, be careful anyway .

I would recommend meeting in front of a police station.

my recommendation is go with like 3 people, don't go alone!! Have a phone in handy just in case you need to call the cops or anything. Having arms isn't such a bad idea.... I'll keep that in mind

Lol. I dont think thats the best location. Neither of you would be able to carry weapons that arent concealed and it just looks suspicious...

If you wanna meet someone you dont know for goods, you tell them to meet you in an airport.
Why? Weapons arent going to make it into the complex and youve got lots of witnesses etc.

Just throwing that out there for you guys.
