How to ship between UK - Europe
Hi
I just wanted to ask some postage & shippping questions between UK and Europe?
1 - What method would you use to ship a MP3 player (worth £200) from UK to Europe? Would u simply take it to a post office ??
2 - What method would you use to ship 30 MP3 players (worth £2000) within UK?? It will be a big parcel, so you wouldn't really take it to a post office, would you??
3 - What method would you use to ship 30 MP3 players (worth £2000) from UK to Europe??
With these questions, I am trying to understand what shipping options I have when shipping high value goods in a secure maner.
Thanks

for (1), simply take it to the post office and make sure u send it as a signed delivery no matter what method u use
for the other two: if you are planning to do this on a fairly regular basis, then i think for a small fee, Royal Mail will come to ur house on a set time and pick up the parcels..

If there is a Mail Boxes etc near to you then you could use them.

I think any company will be fine to ship between UK and europe, they all dont make that much a difference. If its a big parcel, perhaps you'd want to avoid royal mail, but otherwise, all OK

For sending smaller parcels to Europe, Parcelforce Worldwide used to have very competitve rates, and they were quite reliable.
Sending bigger parcels, i.e. 30 MP3 Players to Europe might get quite expensive using UPS, Fedex etc. They are very reliable though.
What is the cheapest option for sending bigger parcels from the UK to Europe these days?

whenever using royal mail, use special delivery - then youre insured for upto £2000 depending on how much you pay. (they have a habit of loosing parcels and are currently being sued by postcomm for £11.7mn)
