Hello Guys,

Im selling a Nokia N96 on ebay,

Ive had a guy call me offering cash on collection from my home tonight.

I was just wondering if theres any precautions that I need to take? Do I let them hold the phone before I have the cash in my hand? Could they do a runner with the phone or scam me some way?

Maybe Im just being paranoid?...

Any Advice would be great!

Cheers

If you are feeling like you need to take the precautions, I would take someone with you and do it in a public place.

Why? If you do it with someone else there, it will make it a little harder for them to screw you over and in a public place, the risk *should* be even more reduced due to there being alot more people around should something happen, police being around for the same reason and if the worst happens and he does one, the police should possibly have access to camera's, which could be followed to the said person getting into a car or something, which gives them a registration to follow too.

Just think the whole time and it should go smoothe.

Hopefully, you have nothing to worry about though.

Good luck.

I guess they could hand over fake cash, but think of it this way...

You are living in a pub, so should know the staff - if they are good at what they do, they should be able to spot fake money a mile off. Ask one of them along to do the deal?

To be honest, I think you may be worrying a little too much, but that said, you may live in the middle of an area where people get killed for £20 lol
