PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
Hey all,
I have yet another problem I want to ask. I have done two sales, one on Thursday and the other today. Both buyers have left positive feedback and yet PayPal are still holding the the funds? I clicked details and it says the buyer must leave positive feedback or 21 days without a dispute for the funds to be released.
Could anyone please clear this up for me?
Thanks,
Brad

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
I thought it was 21 days OR positive feedback? On all the items I list is says "Paypal may hold your funds...." but I haven't had a problem
Just keep on the customers back to leave you feedback

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
Best thing is to ring PayPal and tell them, I can't say that this has even happened to me. I get warnings saying they will hold but they never have

Hi,
It can take a couple of days after positive feedback is left.
Unsure why though.

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
I have had the exact problem - its on every product sold over £50 - its very hard to dropship- they have over £500 of mine on hold- members have left feedback and the money still hasnt cleared - my 21 days are over on the 30th - its kind of a joke how they do this- i also provided proof of delivery - tracking numbers the lot- i was under the impression that when the buyer leaves feedback it would automatically release the funds - this is not the case - they only release the funds if your sellers acconut has accumilated 20 sales or more in 12 months - this is sellers feedback not buyers feedback - I have contacted them and havent heard anything yet

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
That's really strange I just sold a Wii package on ebay and transferred the cash straight out of paypay within 3hrs of it being paid which was the following day of the close, without ebay having feedback, me inputting the tracking number into paypal or feedback being left for me.

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
Yes, Its for people with new paypal accounts, Its to try and stop the dropshipping that goes on- If they hold the funds you cannot purchase to buy of your dropshipper-
Ebay reconises certain items being sold- the same amount of the same sort of items per seller
If they are new then Ebay pressume they dont have static stock and they are using a dropshipper- to battle this paypal hold all funds of new members for 30 days - making it near immpossible for people to start up-
If however you stick it out and keep trying and have money of our own for reserve then you will beat this system-
You need to accumilate more than 20 sellers feedback-
An easy way to do this - i said easy and i dont think its illegal-
Purchase dvd's any dvd just the 99p free delivery ones- you can get loads -
As soon as you purchase them sell them for 1 day auctions - now its up to you- you can either pay the seller now or when you have sold the dvd-
If you pay the seller now you have the dvd's sent to you and then you have to send to your new customer
Wait until you have been paid and then get your buyers address and give that to your seller- Your seller sends it to your buyer- HENCE free post
You might even make some profit- 99p listings are free also
Once your selling score is up, you should be ok

Re: PayPal Holding Funds (Positive Feedback Left)
Unless you're a powerseller it has nothing to do with your score. If PayPal believes there to be risk on your end for closing your account or attempting to steal someone's money they will hold your funds until you deliver the item, the buyer has left positive feedback.
After you have done all of this, PayPal will STILL hold your funds for an additional 3 business days. Once there has been no dispute filed from the buyer (even though they left positive feedback) they will release the funds to you. I sold a whole bunch of iPhones on eBay before and I've had my money held for up to a week after they were delivered and I called in every day to get them to release it.
Basically, as soon as you're a powerseller or something along those lines, PayPal will do anything for you.
I sold iPhones on my buddies account (10,000+ positive feedbacks) and when I called in to have them money released to his account (because their system automatically holds large sums) they did it automatically, no questions asked.
