Am going to open a webstore in the near future, so need to upgrade my paypal. So which one would be the best for me, the premier or the business one? I have no companies and am not yet registered as a soletrader. Wanted to register for the business account type, but was wondering if it would be OK to whrite in the registration form where its asked for the business name, just my name and surname...??? Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Ray

There aren't huge differences between the two really it depends on whether or not you appear to your customers as a valid business or an individual.

The only distinction between the two is:
  • Business Accounts allow members to conduct business under a company or group name
  • Premier Accounts allow members to use their individual name
  • The Multi-User (Secondary Users feature is available only to Business Accounts)
PayPal Premier accounts should be created by any individual who may anticipate surpassing the monthly limitations placed by PayPal on Personal accounts.

From my perspective currently it would probably be better for you to register with a premier account but at the end of the day it shouldn't matter which you choose.

Thanks for the reply. Is it possible afterthat, if I register for the premier one, to change it to business?

Yes you should be able to change your account but you have to contact Paypal customer service and provide the relevant details.

OK. Thanks mate! My account is verified, but I have read much stories about paypal holding funds and stuff, mostly for people selling on ebay, but anyway, is there a way to avoid this, like sending an id or something, because I will use dropshippers to sell things on my site and that would affect me if they did so.
