Hi guys,

I've been looking at my paypal account to see how to setup a subscription but can only find information on how to create a subscription "button" for my website.

All I want to do is pay somebody a small amount each month automatically, I'm sure I've done it before.

Advice please

Cheers
Andy

What you are talking about is called "recurring payments" and I do not know how you can do that with PayPal. The seller can set up subscriptions, I get subscription payments virtually every day, but the payer has to click on an established link or button.

You can do recurring payments with SOME merchant accounts, where groups, churches, etc. can collect on a scheduled basis. And with my merchant account, I can go in and set up a one-time payment as recurring in the back office part.

But I do not think the payer can do it at all with PayPal.

I'm pretty sure that you will need to get the person that you want to pay to set up a subscription button and do it that way, like Pete, I do not believe there is a way for the payer to set it up, only the payee. Though you could always contact paypal and ask them.

Many thanks to all who replied, now got it sorted I had to get the other party to create
a button via paypal.

I must be getting old I was convinced I'd set it up myself last time.

Cheers
