Hey Guys

Wondering if anybody knows the answer to my query...Set up a business bank with HSBC for my website and opened a paypal account with my business card details. However, when I use my paypal account to buy things online it states that it is an 'e-cheque' and will take approx 7-9 days to clear instead of the usual 3-5. I'm abit confused because my paypal account is fully verified....so thinking it's because I have a business bank account instead of a normal one....

Anybody else had the same thing happen to them?

Many thanks

Are you 100% sure that you have:

- Added a bank account - and verified
- Added a credit / debit card - and verified
- Are fully verified (address verification)

Sounds like you haven't verified your credit/debit card

No I have....I have one business debit card on my paypal account which is fully verified, but they are telling me that I need to add a credit card or another debit card as a bank up so I can make instant payments. Thanks for all your responses anyways.

Im not sure how uk system works but here in nl we can only do a direct transfer either if you have funds on your paypal account or a verified credit card added to it.

When using a debit card the e-check system will take some days before the amount is deducted from your bank balance and added to your paypal balance.

All payments should come from your paypal balance. If your paypal balance is zero or less than the fee you are transfering it should then come from your credit card or bank account. If you are using your bank account with no credit card for back up they might send it via echeque as the extra days means they can be 100% sure the money has been transfered.

You need to add a bank account and credit card and you will be fine :niceone:

a bit off topic, but just adding when a Echeque is cleared, you cant see the date it was cleared just the date it was sent, On ebay i aways got the odd person saying they paid me 10days ago, but the fact is it takes 10days to clear,
