Alipay is 100% legit & trustworthy payment system.

Yes, you can only use it on Ali Express (in a automated way).

I used Alipay two times, and never a problem : The only problem that's you can only used it for the ali express products. Otherwise you need to understand the china language for others transactions.

Has anyone that has used or checked items on Aliexpress noticed some have quoted very very high postage rates?

eg. I was looking at some jewelry (small cheap crystals) at about 6-7usd and it would quote shipping for 1 at USD 380 or save on shipping and purchase 100 at USD 34896 for shipping.

I'm sure this is easily fixed but due to the language barrier with suppliers I haven't been able to get my point across . My concern is as I haven't used this site I don't know if once I click "Buy Now" I am then legally bound to that purchase and the items and shipping costs as is. Would it be like ebay? They send me an invoice with the amended and correct quotes?

I made 2 separate purchases last night through AliExpress and received 4 emails this morning. 2 Stating my transaction has been frozen and the following 2 stating that this has been cancelled due to counterfeit card transaction.

Not too sure what to make of it, spoke to my bank and they didn't stop the payment and in fact my payments are still authorised. They have now started a credit reversal. I've sent an email to alibaba and just waiting for their reply, does anyone know what to make of this as this is the first time I've been told my visa is a fake, LOL. Not too worried if it means Alibaba is being extra cautious, I just want to complete my first "import" and get rid of all the nooby excitement.

Just in case anyone checks this thread later and are not sure about Alibaba, I have had my account re-activated and I am very pleased with the customer service provided by Alibaba. The person that helped me was more than helpful and their English was perfect. I was worried when dealing with China we would keep hitting a language barrier but that wasn't the case which was a breath of fresh air.

Whilst you will no doubt find dodgy suppliers on this site and anywhere else for that matter I can say first hand that the service from Alibaba that I received well exceeded my expectations and is huge reason why I will do business through their site.

p.s. If you ever have to handover details i.e. Credit card, make sure you blank out some numbers. Not sure how other businesses work but Alibaba only required the last 4 digits of my credit card number visible.
