Re: Is About To Pay A supplier
If I were you I'd use Tranzfers, an OZForex company, easy to use, and you get the best exchange rate plus a flat fee for using the service, nowhere as expensive as the bank.

okay, how long does this take to set up?
How much would a fee be for a bank :/ to send just over $1000 AUD.
and similar the price for tranzfers.

Re: Is About To Pay A supplier
Well I set one up yesterday, first time - guy's got his money today.
If you're being serious you need to do a bit of detective work yourself, mate.
Seriously freindly people on the phone too. Checkout the site, tranzfers.com
Compare for yourself. I'll try and help you, I wont do it for you.

Thanks, but i meant a rough comparison, if its a tad more expensive i'd go with a bank, but its its a lot more id go with the site.

Re: Is About To Pay A supplier
Trust me, it's a lot better.
In fact, now you have your ten post, send me a PM with your email and I can send you a referral.
A quick guide to how much you can save;
Yesterday I asked my bank how much to send $380 - it would have cost me £257 + £20 admin fees.
I sent the money by tranzfers for £232.99, so I've saved £44.01
It depends how seriously you take saving money on your bottom line.
But, ultimately money saved = more profit.

Why do i need a referral?
Sorry im new to this, as you can tell
From the webpage i typed in 900 USD and it came up with $1080 (is that what i pay)
exchange rate says it = $995 AUD.
Im willing to pay the Extra $100 if the bank charges more

Re: Is About To Pay A supplier
You need a referral so I get an Ipod
The way it works is pretty smart.
Basically you are selling your currency, a trader will trade your currency at some point throughout the day at the best rate available.
The flat fee for me in the UK is £7 per transaction, so whatever that is the same as in OZ, you will have to add to the transfer amount.
I foulnd the best way to work out how much to send is to reverse engineer the amounts, so work backwards from the amount that you supplier needs to calculate the amount it will cost you.
Hope all this makes sense for you.

Re: Is About To Pay A supplier
Payment would be sent by Telegraphic Transfer (TT) by your bank.Contact your bank for costs.
Moving thread to "Payment and Shipping Discussion".
