hello,
I am wondering how to tell if Gucci shoes are authentic? Are the soles always made out of leather or sometimes also rubber? I have a supplier and want to judge the authenticity of the shoes. Please let me know how to tell the difference between factory variant and authentic.

Hi there let me introduce myself.
I work for GUCCI, and i am keen in helping you make the correct desicion when looking for gucci shoes and suppliers.
Firstly if your supplier is from CHINA then the shoes are most likely going to be 100% replicas (not the real thing) and illegal to sell.
i can garuantee you this, GUCCI shoes are only made in Italy.
i can say there are NO factories outside Italy that make GUCCI shoes.

most unauthentic shoes are sold on ebay and look something like this,

ok now let me point out the differences between the authentic and unauthentic gucci shoes in this example, if they arent already very apparent.

1. firstly the 'GUCCI Made in Italy' is stamped at the bottom of the 2nd strap, not in the middle of it.
2. the canvas material is of a high standard in authentic shoes and the 'GG' symbol are always facing vertically, not horizontally.
3. Furthermore, all GUCCI shoes have soles with the words 'GUCCI Made In Italy' stamped in them. they are not written in silver text like so.




but we are clamping down on these sellers and making sure any such seller has there account permanently closed.please this take as a warning and i hope this information has helped.

yes both of those auctiopns are illegal. thank you for informing us, we will look into this matter further.
well the first one is illegal because you can tell straight away from the box.
gucci never makes boxes like the one in the image of this auction

and the 2nd one is illegal, because it is being shipped from Hong Kong, as i previously mentioned shoes from CHINA are most likely not authentic...

and to look for an authentic GUCCI shoes, you will have to look for factories in Italy, as mentioned by Boro97.
a good start would be to visit Italy itself...

NO im afraid they are not authentic.
GUCCI have never designed and manufactured anything like this, so this is not real.
The stitching is also very poor, and if u look in the background i think we can also see other pairs of unauthentic gucci shoes.

It is hard to tell just by a few pictures. In general, the price is always a good indicator. Authentic Gucci shoes are expensive, even at wholesale prices.

And even in Italy, there are large amounts of fakes circulating. In general, finding authentic Gucci shoes is very hard, and if you come across them, they are expensive.

@Stifler: Are you working for Gucci Group? I would very much like to discuss this further, as the fakes really take over the market these days, and someone needs to start doing something about it.

this really sucks. everytime I think I have found something to sell on ebay its a failure.
