One of my friends from Glasgow has a friend and he is a manager of GAME. My friend reckons he pretty clued up so I asked him to ask him about the PAL PS3 being region free. He is convinced that the PS3 is not region free in Europe and will play only PAL games. I hope this is not true as I have stock myself.

Has anyone else heard anything similair?

Looking around the official playstation forum, the games will be region free.

On another note though a couple of people are reporting having PS3's delivered yesterday and today and say the games do work!

Yep thats where I found the information for my last post. The guy that manages game said they would only play european games but there would be software out that would make it region free. Someones telling porkies!

I have also read it is down to the game developers if they wan't to implement region locking into their games. Sony themselves do not appear to be region locking the games.
