Default Continuous Ink Systems

Do any of you guys use continuous ink systems,

Im intrested in any problems people have with these, whats the quality like ?

They seem like that would save me quite some money when compared to the prices of ink in pc world, might even think about buying / selling wholesale..

what you think ?

I have one for my Epson R200, works a treat...will save me a small fortune in the long term...its a bit awkward with the ink cable but apart from that everything is spot on.

I wrecked my printer with one
The black ink leaked all over
However I cannot be 100% sure it was the ciss that was at fault

It could have been my thick fingers, but on inspection it appeared the black cartridge had not seated properley which caused the leak

End result one printer in the BIN !!!!

Exactly! Why you need continuous ink system? Are you printing posters all day long?

I buy compatible cartridges for my printers for 60-70 pence a piece. Isn't that cheap enough? (best prices can be found for Epson compatible ink cartridges, so if you're looking for a new printer, go with Epson)

Awful dont touch them.

The R200 one were very good the rest for Epson are rubbish. Problems with incompatible inks, leaking, poor print quality and you may wake up one morning to find that every ink has emptied out through your printer all over your desk. Friend that runs a property rental business used them for his promotional dvds but was not happy with results.

I have tried the compatible cartridges.... some are good some are rubbish... I tried the earlier ink tanks.... again some good some bad.... I have one A3 printer with a bottle fed system and it works great... my other A4/DVD/CD/Photo printer is still running on compatibles..... simply because I have so many of them [I buy them by the 100's each colour].... and thats great too... the systems are not all the same.... like most things... some good some bad.... but the tanks are not really beneficial unless you do a lot of printing.
