Hello!

I'm new in here and I'm really surprised how good that forum is, which is not really easy to find!

First I want to introduce you that the topic LACOSTE is not new to me. I' really tried
hard to collect as much information as I could and finally recognized that there are
hardly any serious sellers or rather people you can trust to get original stuff!
Beside of that it's very difficult to see the difference between fakes and genuine
LACOSTE when you see HQ-photos!

My intention is to buy 100% original Lacoste polo's to keep some for myself and to
resell on ebay or elsewhere to earn some extra money....but there are some problems!

The first one is that the company Lacoste forbids, selling their brand via Internet,
especially via ebay! So, do I have to fear a penalty, if I sell original stuff(That's very important, because the penalties are very high)

Secondly I'm searching for a 100% trustable wholeseller in the EU, who can send me a
bunch of shirt's!I thought about 5-10 polo's for the beginning! I know that authentic Lacoste shirt's have their price and that I won't get them less than under 35€!

Perhaps someone can help me, I really would appreciate that!

PS: What does "MOQ" mean?

Greetings from Austria

Christian

megaman, you are 100% right on the lacoste banning online sales part. but there's a little more to it.

here's what i gathered from talking to factory owners and store managers. i work in a Sony Store in a mall and have a lacoste store right across from me, and i chatted w/ the manager before. according to the North american managers, all lacoste polos are "made in Indonesia" now. which is true judging from their store stock.

now i also have a friend, whose uncle owns 2 factories that are contracted by lacoste to make their polos. can you guess where they are located? if you said Asian, you are correct. the secondary market behind this is really shady. the factories will often "over-produce" what the required quota requested from lacoste, so they can sell the rest on the internet or redistribute to un-licensed vendors for a profit. the problem is, a lot of other NON-contracted factories does the same thing by simply copying everything the original. therefore, consumers like us really can't tell if it's made from a contracted factory or not, nor can the store if you don't have purchase proof.

remember the part i said about "made in indo"? well, if you have an old style that still said made in peru or france...a lot of lacoste stores will hesitate to tell you if they are fake or real unless if you can show receipt/paper...this way they cover their own butt from mistakenly supporting counterfeits or from accusing incorrectly.

hope that helps.
