The iphone was that successful that customers had to wait even longer to use their phones as the activation requests were crashing the servers....

It's still rumours until pen is on paper we can't know for sure but 02 must feel quite confident .

I personally think it would be of benefit to apple to not sign any exclusive deals.

Those are my thoughts too.

The only benefits I can see by doing an exclusivity deal is to control the distribution and effectively control the price, but I'm sure this can be done even if multiple distributors are used. I would imagine 02 have much more to gain than Apple from signing an exclusive deal.

Thoughts?

They are only available on contract in the USA, and are also locked to a network so will not work in the UK at the moment.
