Ipod Wholesale
Hi, I am totally new to this and very inexperienced. I extremely interested in selling Ipod's on ebay, and have been doing a lot of research to find a good wholesaler. I think I may have found one, but I want to check the prices with all you experienced folks out there, as I don't want to get scammed first time around. I want to sell the Apple Ipod Touch 8GB. Here is the prices I have been quoted:-
1-9 £175
10 - 19 £170
20 - 29 £165
30+ £162
I have noticed on ebay, they are selling for around £180 - £200. The retail price is £199 from Apple, £189 from Amazon. If I bought 30 or more I think I could make good profit. What do you all think?

hmmm..... sounds legit to me, I mean i can get them a bit cheaper than that, but just because the price sounds alright doesnt mean that the supplier is legit.
This may not be the case, but depending where you are getting them from, dont forget about shipping costs, import duties, tax.
Then you have got ebay fees, paypal fees.
As long as you have got the finances to buy quantities needed for a desired price, it may be worth your while, but speaking from experience, its a slow moving business.
Finally if you dont want to thats fine, but if your unsure still does your supplier have a website, because that will give more idea as to their authenticity.

As TeaBaggie says, after PayPal and eBay fees you may struggle. Especially after Import duties are applied if the items are not already in the UK, which after all fees, can add up to nearly 25%
Best of luck anyway!

Hi, the goods are already in the UK, the supplier has a website and I have checked it out, it seems legit. All I really have to worry about is Ebay fees & Pay Pal fees, which I suppose everyone has to worry about. Don't suppose you can tell me where you can get them cheaper Teabaggie, or am I not allowed to ask that, being a newbie and all that.

There are ways around Ebay fees - that is if you have legitimate Ipods in hand...

high postage costs and low buy it now price. Ebay dosent take a percentage of postage costs i dont think. However a few buyers on ebay dont like this approach. Its my personal view though that people should take the full price into account before deciding to buy.
Use other payment methods than paypal. Goodle checkout seems popular, cheque postal order etc these dont cost you anything. However using paypal you are paying 3.4 % of what it sells for to them.
Make your listings with auctiva, its cheaper and you can add more pics etc.

Actually yes. But you use Ebay's traffic (cheaply) to get visitors.

Postal orders are not cheap, if I remember correctly from last time I bought one. They are certainly not free.
