Nintendo are producing 1.8 million Wii's a month but can not keep up with worldwide demand.

this is what I worked out an I reckon its pretty accurate

this is a graph of weekly worlwide sales
http://vgchartz.com/hwtable.php?cons%5B%5D=Wii&reg%5B%5D=Total&start=3 9390&end=39397

and this is Europe

http://vgchartz.com/eweekly.php

not really.
over 500k units in the last week alone. PAL is only 20% of the market and UK PAL at the most 20% of the PAL market . Considering 4 units a minute sell on ebay alone it doesn't take a genius to work out that they are having trouble keeping up with demand. When demand only just osupply the biggest markets get looked after first - US Japan and China. Manafacturing UK PAL machines is not high on their agenda at the moment. Dominating the US market is, because that us the heart of the games industry and they need US third party support to succeed in the long term.

Do you mean each branch gets 8 in a day? If so, That's rubbish. If that was true, Argos would be getting 168,000 a month (10% of their entire production!).

Most of their branches are getting 8 or probably less. But due to the reserves being booked online, there constantly out of stock. And I know this because my uncle is a manager at one of the stores and he has access to this kind of information. Plus I get discounts through him

Don't think he is. Very trustful person and he wouldn't lie to me. Well obviously Argos have branches located across the UK and it would be different for every branch. Seems as if I'm the only lucky one here. But I wouldn't sell them on eBay..getting tired of consoles and games.
