authentic shoes... a cloud of mystery
hello... I'm new here so hopefully this topic hasn't been covered too much but I just had to put this out there. I'm a work-from-home type guy who has done a lot of stuff on eBay, craigslist, and the local market. I've always been a bit of a shoe freak, so naturally I've spent lots of time searching for a supplier. LOTS. What have I found? fakes, fakes, fakes, fakes, fakes, fakes, FAKES! Now, I KNOW there are people selling authentic nike shoes online WITHOUT a brick and mortar store, how in the world is this possible? Several powersellers on eBay sell hundreds of authentic Nike products. I have dealt with some before and can speak for the authenticity of their product.
HOW are they doing this? There MUST be a supplier out there somewhere.

Maybe some of them get their stock by knowing someone that works in a retail store and get them through a third party?

Yes, this is true also. There are liquidators selling new old stock at rock bottom prices when the new models are released. Last week I purchased a few Apple Ipod video 30gb 5th generation at a bargain price. They are all factory sealed but when you run the serial numbers the warranty has expired so they're over a year old to say the least. Once the new ones where released who would want to buy the 30gb when you can get the 80gb for $249.

I suppose it's possible, and it seems like the only thing it COULD be. It's hard to believe that all of them have a retail "hook up." It might be nice to find some overstock pallets... this may be a shot in the dark but anyone have any additional info on that??
