Hi, I have found a supplier who can sell me membership codes to a service. I plan to sell these individually on ebay.

My supplier will scan these codes and email the images of these to me.

Since I will be selling loads of codes, it would be very hard for me to individually send each code to the customer, so I was wondering if any of you know of any easy way to automate this process so that as soon as the customer pays me via paypal, a code is sent to them.

Thanks.

A website with a database will do this for you. You will need to pay someone to code it for you.

Yeah, I could get someone to do a PHP code for me but I was really looking for a free alternative, something like auctiva

Cube cart has a digital download option. Not used it but a cheap mod could do what you want it to do.

Zencart also has a digital download feature, which works. Having said this, I am still testing it and note that a digital product (currently free of charge) can be programmed to download within 1 to 7 days, once only, or how many times you decide, to the person requesting it. Am unsure how to link this feature into Paypal etc at the moment.

Is every code unique? If not, you can use Outlook to automate the process. If they are unique, you could still use Outlook, but it would require making a new 'rule' for every listing you do. There's plenty of guides on the Internet that tell you how to do this. Its the only free option I can think of. The downside of this is, they will only be sent once you launch Outlook, or have it running.

If your prepared to put your hand in your pocket, then there's loads of software which will do it for you. But it does come at a price...

Thank you greedyboy, freshstart and PT Games for your advice, I have ended up writing a script of my own in AppleScript and it works perfectly
