Card Games
I made a search for card games to see if this topic has been discussed before, and there were ZERO results!
By card games, i mean anything from UNO to novelties such as those listed on this page.
Card games are - cheap; ideal for starters with limited capital
- dieing fad, but still a popular item
- afterall a box of cards with a description of the game; none of the defective clothing material/PSP lcds to worry about
My questions are - does anyone here supplies, knows or indirectly knows anyone that supplies any form of card games? (preferably in US/Asia)
- any potential roadblocks in this trade?
Views please!

The only cards I have ever dealt with [no pun intended] are Tarot cards.... always a good seller.... so many types now its a little confusing... but select the right ones and you could be into the futures market.

Tarot cards are a niche market in Asia, or at least in my country. Its a good idea. However, what i have in mind are more of the family/friend fun games that is, how do i put it - more mainstream? Probably a huge assortment, priced around 13USD, along with their descriptions on an online site. Arranged according to their different categories; finance, fantasy or even adult.
You browse, you like, you conquer.
How does it sound?

Countries like Thailand do not condone the selling of playing cards and they are quite difficult to find and comparatively very expensive... this they probably feel will discourage gambling. Tarot cards here are none existent and even the fortune tellers use standard cards in the main. I agree it is more of a western item.
Are we talking about family/children's games such as snap, happy families, donkey? or the collections of cards that came out based around comparison [I forget what they were called] ie car sets were based on engine size, torque ratios, top speed etc.
Adult playing cards have always sold, although not as well as they used to do when censorship was rife.

I'm talking about more complicated items that cater to teens and adults, but are not commonly seen in the market. For example, when i refer to adult cards, this would fit the bill! Not poker decks with x rated prints.
I believe profit margins on these are potentially high depending on how the marketing is done. What i need now though is a company that specializes in producing such unique card games.

I think that is an excellent idea, being a teen myself I can see them selling very well.
Also trading cards are also huge, especially at schools and if you buy a pack from a normal store chances are there will be a rare/expensive one in there somewhere

Trading cards are actually quite competitive in my area. How about this or this? Are card games popular in the States?
