Smile Mobile Games Store/Anime DVDs

Hi all,

At this moment, I'm still researching potential products to sell...possibly opening an Ebay store for it in order to get things started. I've looked at Andy Minalto's website for some ideas and how to potentially sell. I'd like your opinions on two ideas, based on two items that personally interest me:

MOBILE GAMES:
I was thinking of opening a mobile/handheld games store which included Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and other mobile game products such as the GP2x. With that would come accessories, and potential import games. I'd try to provide good-looking, sophisticated products rather than flood the market with gaudy, cheap-lookling items. My question to you, based on your experience, is whether I'm entering a very crowded market. Further, I don't know whether Ebay allows stores to sell mobile games - am not trying to have them pull my account. I'm still doing research into this. Smallvolume.com seemed to have reasonable prices for PSPs and DSes, plus accessories. I don't yet know if GP2x does sell to wholesalers, or whether they are allowed on Ebay.

ANIME DVD/BLU-RAY

While Ebay does have a large quantity of Anime on DVD, I was hoping that Blu-Ray might stand as a niche market that could potentially grow. With that, I could potentially sell toys, books, figures and such. I'm still looking for a supplier who may do light bulk to start.

Anyone with experience in these two markets or has suggestions?

There is already a lot of competition in the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP games/accessories business on eBay. I haven't checked for a while but you can generally pick up a bargain there. Unless you have competitive prices it won't work out for you.

Okay - thanks for the suggestion. I had a feeling this might be an overcrowded market.

Will keep looking for a more unique product.
