Post PlayStation 3 Chips to be Tested Next Week

Article I found from www.ps3portal.com
Posted: 23 April 2006

News has come out that Sony will begin testing parts of the PlayStation 3 as early as this week. Testing is a good indicator that Sony is getting close to starting production of their next generation console.

KYEC (King Yuan Electronics Corporation) is reported to be behind the test engineering. While KYEC has left no comment about actually testing the components, the company is well known for checking components from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable.

If Sony is to upkeep their latest promise of having a worldwide launch in November, the PlayStation 3 must be completely tapped out soon. Most likely, Sony will reveal more information about the progress of their new console in the upcoming weeks at E3, which is shaping up to be a battle royal of Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony.
