I posted a thread about the one year manufacturer warranty, i was right about about the warranty, if you don't have the receipt you don't get the one year warranty, so if you buy your psp from ebay or locak without receipt you are out of luck and this is something the psp resellers should know,\ to a lot of people it wud be common sense but i believe there are still may who think since its new it covers the one year manufacturer warranty, i also spoke to sony and they confirmed that if it not pruchased from an authorized retailer, that means no one year manufacturer warranty

"PROOF OF PURCHASE IN THE FORM OF A BILL OF SALE OR RECEIPTED INVOICE WHICH IS EVIDENCE THAT THE UNIT IS WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD MUST BE PRESENTED TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE. "

Just to point out that the situation in the UK is completely different and under the Sales of Goods act a receipt does not have to be produced.
