also the chinese taobao sellers hold very large amount of iphone 3gs, if you can buy from them then get them sent over here there is also good profit to make.
Bear in mind there might be VAT or Tax charge on arrival.
EMS is better to avoid tax but it takes longer and not as reliable as UPS OR DHL.

Factory unlocked handsets are not all from Hong Kong & to be quite honest I wouldnt touch any Chinese sellers if my life depended on it!

Why not call apple uk and ask them for distribution chanells ,year ago iwas in touch with guy distributing apple over ireland he visited me and told me what requirements you need to meet to become an apple reseller directly and what profits you can make on their products .... So i just gave best thing about it is that apple factory is in my city but even if you want to buy from them they will send you to apple uk for possible distributors
The only deals they could give was on reufurbs( small margin) but this is going out of topic now.
Apple has very good policy about reselling their products and its hard to make big profit on it thats why they are so big now

Afetr dealing in the Trading Circles a few years agon, i can tell you this Urbi. Nobody gets access to the legit factories in China weather it be Apple, Samsung, Motorola. Hell, the Nokia Factory, they are even allowed to talk about what goes on in the factory. Its called protecting your money & business (These companies are worth millions or billions in revenue every year).

No#2: If you are able to get phones from china they are likely to be refurbished or have the battery, memory card, or accesories changed as they reimport these from Hong Kong. All the big guys control their distribution chains. I know of iPods that you used to be able to get cheap & geniune apple. Apple voided their warranty, simple as that. Unauthorized Goods that were produced.

Put yourself in this companies shoes.

Apple Profit Margains

Authroized Resellers - 8% Flat. Thats it & you are expected to sell $30K worth of Apple Product Per Quarter.

Authorized Distributor/ Buying Direct: 10% Flat. Must carry $100,000 worth of apple stock.

As a small independent Mobile shop we have sold 1 iPhone since release (sim free to a very wealthy guy).
Customers that come through the door saying they want an iPhone = 2-3 a day.
Customers that leave with a 5800, LG Arena etc instead... 2-3 a day

Hate damm iPhones and dont wanna sell the things. Overpriced phones with crap cameras.
