Hiya Folks!

I'm Just wondering who uses one of these little machines?

Fancy treating myself to one, and was just wondering what they are actually like?

Can you put your logo at the top etc?

Cheers :niceone:

I use Dymo 400.

You can print anything you want - of course, only in B/W :niceone:

Even photos if you want!

Just make sure to not waste monies on original labels :niceone:

Compatible ones are 5 x cheaper and works as good as original ones. For addresses I use 99014 - they're pretty large but I like that! Gives enough space of some good old formatting, logo, date, phone number and notes to postman.

Labelzone do a grade A - Brother QL-550* for £44 + VAT - I bought one, am very happy with it - turned out to be brand new (just the box had a few scuffs). Comes with starter rolls of labels though I ended up buying some 38x90mm rolls from Crazy Dave's (perfect for Smartstamps). Add integrated labels as suggested elsewhere on this site - job done (getting some good comments re how professional the service is (and looks).

* you have to search "grade A" on labelzone to find this printer.

I use the Dymo 400 Twin Turbo printer. They are very good, but like Andy said, the labels are expensive.

I know when I purchased the compatible labels, they were rubbish and didn't print very well. The printer also disliked using them. I had to flash the printer (which it didn't want to do at first) and it was all a bit of faf.

If we are just doing the odd label now, we use the Zebra Label printers. The labels are extremely cheap compared to Dymo ones, they work just as well, but I think the printers are about £250. If I remember correctly, we have the Zebra LP 2844 with the Zebra Designer software.

Depends really what you are using labels for. We were using the dymo and the zebra printers for when we sent things with Royal Mail. Now we've switched over the DHL and they supplied a printer and free labels that does everything with barcodes etc so we only use them for the smaller items that are much cheaper to go with Royal Mail.

Hope this helps!

Regards
Lewis

Ive had 2 Dymo printers for a long time now and never had any problem with them printing to compatible labels. They work no problem, just like the originals.
